Advance steel Essentials
Learn how to model steel structures efficiently in Advance Steel and produce all the outputs required for fabrication and construction.
Starting with the core modelling tools, delegates will learn all the tools to create everything from simple platforms and industrial buildings to more complex structural steelwork projects. The course then progresses to the creation of manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), NC files, DXF files and other project deliverables.
You will also learn how to share and collaborate on designs with clients, architects and engineers who do not use Advance Steel, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
By the end of the course, delegates will have the knowledge and confidence to take a project from initial modelling through to fully documented fabrication output.

Inventor basics
Designed for complete beginners to 3D mechanical CAD, this course is also ideal for users transitioning from another CAD platform.
Delegates will learn the fundamental tools and techniques required to create parts and assemblies while applying good modelling practices and capturing design intent. The course also covers the creation of professional manufacturing drawings, including dimensions, annotations, parts lists and supporting tables.
Through practical, project-based exercises, delegates will develop the skills needed to begin creating real-world mechanical designs with confidence.

AutoCAD Essentials
AutoCAD remains one of the world's most widely used CAD applications and provides an excellent foundation for anyone entering technical drafting and design.
Aimed at users with little or no previous CAD experience, this course introduces all the essential tools and concepts required to become a confident and productive AutoCAD user. From basic drawing and editing commands through to more advanced productivity features, delegates will learn efficient techniques for creating accurate technical drawings.
Alongside the software itself, the course explains the fundamental CAD principles that underpin most modern design applications. These skills provide an excellent foundation for progressing to more advanced CAD systems in the future.
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to create, annotate and produce professional technical drawings suitable for manufacturing, engineering and construction environments.

Inventor
LEvel 2
Building on the skills developed in the Inventor Basics course, Inventor Level 2 explores more advanced design techniques and productivity tools.
Delegates will learn how to create configurable design variants using parameters, formulas, spreadsheets and multi-body modelling techniques. These variants are then managed and controlled using Model States, allowing designs to be adapted quickly and efficiently.
The course also explores assembly motion, enabling users to demonstrate and validate how products function. Using Inventor's presentation and animation tools, delegates will create exploded views, assembly animations and maintenance documentation that enhance both user manuals and technical communications.
This course is ideal for users looking to take full advantage of Inventor's parametric design capabilities and create more intelligent, flexible models.

Advance Steel Drawing styles
One of Advance Steel's greatest strengths is its ability to automatically generate detailed manufacturing drawings. The quality of those drawings is controlled by Drawing Styles, a sophisticated system that defines how objects are displayed, dimensioned and annotated.
Because Drawing Styles attempt to replicate decisions that would traditionally be made by an experienced draughtsperson, they are one of the most powerful and complex areas of Advance Steel. When configured correctly, they can dramatically reduce the amount of manual editing required, significantly improving drawing consistency and production efficiency.
For many companies, occasional drawing style adjustments are best handled as part of a Workshop Day or Consultancy Project. However, organisations that regularly need to modify drawing outputs, perhaps to meet different client standards or project requirements, can greatly benefit from understanding how the system works.
This advanced course provides a detailed understanding of Drawing Styles, explaining the key settings, their interactions and the impact they have on drawing generation. Equally important, delegates will learn safe working practices for developing and testing modifications without affecting the live production environment.
