Comprehensive Training
—
At Apex CAD Solutions, training is about more than simply learning which buttons to press. Every standard course has been developed from the ground up using our extensive real-world experience of CAD implementation, support and consultancy.
Our courses are built around one or more realistic projects that reflect the type of work users are likely to encounter in everyday practice. By learning new tools and techniques within a practical context, delegates gain a deeper understanding of not only how features work, but also when and why they should be used. This approach moves beyond simple "buttonology" and focuses on developing genuine competence and confidence.
Training exercises are carefully designed to incorporate the tools, commands and workflows that most users will rely on daily. This ensures that delegates gain hands-on experience of the complete process rather than isolated software features.
Most CAD systems offer several different ways to achieve the same result. Rather than overwhelming delegates with numerous alternatives, we draw upon our experience, testing and industry best practice to teach the most efficient and reliable methods. This allows users to develop consistent, productive working habits from the outset.
Aleck has achieved both TAP Training Delivery Skills certification and Autodesk Certified Instructor accreditation, combining proven training techniques with extensive technical expertise to maximise knowledge retention and learner engagement.
By the end of a course, delegates will have the skills and confidence needed to contribute effectively to live projects and become productive members of your team from day one.
Of course, expertise develops over time. As users gain experience, we can provide advanced and specialist training tailored to your particular workflows, helping individuals and teams continue to develop their capabilities and achieve even greater productivity.

Expert CAD Installation and initial setup
—
Installing professional CAD applications can be time-consuming, and achieving the best results often requires extensive configuration to match your company's standards and workflows. We can take care of the entire installation and setup process, allowing your team to remain focused on productive project work.
When the installation is complete, you can be confident that your software is fully configured, optimised for your business, and ready for immediate use on live projects.
A more flexible, practical and cost-effective approach to consultancy, ideal for smaller companies with a growing list of improvements, customisations and support requirements.
Rather than committing to a large consultancy project, a Workshop Day allows us to work collaboratively through your list of tasks, tackling them in the order of priority that best suits your business. Many of these tasks are relatively small but require specialist knowledge and are often outside the scope of a typical user's experience.
During the Workshop Day, we focus on delivering the greatest value possible. If a task proves impractical or is taking longer than the expected benefit justifies, we can simply move on to the next priority item. This flexible approach ensures your investment is always being used effectively.
As you work with your CAD system, keep a note of any issues, frustrations, ideas or improvements you would like to address. Once you have built up a list, book a Workshop Day and we'll work through them together. If time runs out before everything is completed, simply retain the remaining items and schedule another session when convenient.

For larger challenges that require a more structured approach, Apex CAD Solutions can provide dedicated consultancy services to help you achieve your objectives.
By working closely with your team, we take the time to fully understand your requirements and develop a practical solution that delivers real business value. These projects may involve the same types of tasks covered by our Workshop Days, but on a larger scale, often requiring more planning, development and testing.
Whether you need to implement new standards, develop customised workflows, or solve a complex technical issue, we can guide you through the process from concept to completion.
Previous consultancy projects have included the addition of an entirely new cold-rolled steel supplier to Advance Steel, incorporating sections, connections, drawings and associated project data to provide a seamless user experience.
